Committees
Fundraiser Committee
​
The committee will be responsible for creating and implementing ideas to raise monies, and secure event locations.
The committee chairperson will be responsible for collecting and monitoring funds raised and providing details to the financial committee.

Greeting/Membership Committee
​
The committee will send greeting cards and/or flowers to reward, acknowledge, console, etc. members of the FOCUS group.
​
The committee will welcome new prospective members through fellowship voting.
The committee will serve as host at special events.
​
Outreach Committee
The committee will focus on the charity functions such as visiting the sick and/or elderly, sponsoring a child or family for a holiday, etc.
Scholarship Committee
​
The committee will determine the selection process for the recipients of the FOCUS scholarship, create the application, determine the allotment of money to be given to the recipient(s) of the scholarship, etc.

Executive / Financial Committee

The committee will consist of all elected officers

Ideas and suggestions will be brought back to the General Body meetings.

This committee will meet quarterly to review finances with the Treasurer.

Prepare quarterly statements for members of the organization.

Put documents together for year-end closing to send to accountant if necessary.

Plan budget for the following year, beginning January 1st.

Make recommendations to the Treasurer as needed.

Verify deposits/withdrawals, made by Treasurer (serve as auditors)

Social Committee
​
The committee will plan FOCUS group functions such as events, birthday celebrations, retirement celebrations, etc.
The committee will be responsible for the planning of social events (such as the Mother/Daughter Brunch) or other social events as determined by the committee.
​
Historian/Publicity Committee
The committee will be responsible for the keepsakes of the organization (e.g., history, accomplishments, scrapbooks, as well as other memorabilia).
​
Health & Wellness Committee
The committee will meet to encourage members to participate in health & wellness activities.
